Amber in a Rainbow!

A friend asked me to combine 2 small necklaces she had into 1 larger necklace---this is the result.  I don't stock these exact same beads, but I could make a necklace very, very similar with what we do have. I thought it turned out really pretty.

I had someone ask if we can just re-string an old hazelwood necklace with new hazelwood beads, and the answer is, sure! cost? $9 for kid sized (up to 17 inch) $10 for adult 18-20 in. It would include new hazelwood beads, new wire, and new hardware as needed. You would just need to mail me the old necklace(you can cut off the old wood beads and toss--be sure to use wire cutters), and mailed in-   put your pretty beads in 1 layer of toilet paper for protection, just to be on the safe side, and definetly tell the post office to hand cancel.  Multiple order discount of 10% still applies!!!  So if you send in 2 necklaces, you get 10% off.  +shipping costs (usually $2 or less in USA).  Contact us for more info  :-)

How to send old jewelry in:  cut off old wood beads, if you can, with wire cutters (not scissors) wrap the  beads you are saving in one layer of tissue or kleenex, and place in regular envelope, take to post office, and have them HAND CANCEL.  If you use only one layer of tissue, it *should* cost you only one stamp, in most cases.  If you have a thick pendant, or something, it might cost more.  

Clogged hazelwood beads/ What to do if your necklace stops working!

I made a new discovery recently. Sometimes, after wearing hazelwood, the natural oils from our bodies collect on the hazelwood beads, clogging them up, and keep them from absorbing the acid that causes our symptoms. If that happens, I just wash my necklaces in hot water and a little strong soap (I used Dawn dishsoap, but I'm guessing Dr Bonners would work, too), and gently scrubbed with a dish towel. This is not something I do regularly(that would be hard on the beads), just "as needed", if I notice my symptoms coming back. Works well, and makes my necklaces work for longer.

Jewelry

Here are some bracelets---we usually do stretchy bracelets, they stay nicely close to the skin, (contact with hazelwood and amber is what makes them work), plus they stay out of your way when you are using your hands to wash dishes, etc.  My husband has an anklet that is stretchy and its so comfortable, he says he can't even feel it when its under his sock.

Good for little girl.  This one is actually on stretchy string, done custom for a client.  I  now recommend that you let us use cable with a clasp, so that small children can't remove (and lose) their jewelry.  Cable is sturdier, too.

Stay on Anklet Baltic amber and Beaked Hazelwood

Stay on Angel Baby anklet.  Solves the problem of how to keep amber and hazel on baby's ankle!  This one has small bead beaked hazel and "rainbow" amber, plus metal beads in the center.  We do custom!
